Did you know that as a Student Physiotherapist you can join us for a placement

Glenn, a student Physiotherapist at the University of Worcester spent 12 weeks with us on placement at the Markland Clinic.

Here, he gives his experience of the clinic and the services we offer.

George coordinates all student placements

Did you know the reason why he is able to do this so brilliantly, is that he was once in your shoes…. yes thats right not many people know that George spent 12weeks with us on placement a couple of years ago.

And here is what he has to say about that experience…

Firstly, I was lucky enough to have a placement at the clinic while completing my course. As a student I felt the huge team bond that the clinic possesses was perfect to support my learning and develop my skills. This was achieved by specifically setting aside extra time to develop myassessment and linguistic skills, something I struggle with due to my dyslexia, through team role plays, mock assessments as well as giving me time to reflect on this training in order to apply it to my practice. Moreover due to the wide variety of patients I saw in the clinic it gave me a chance to practice multiple forms of manual therapy and exercise prescription essential for a holistic practice. In essence this was my favourite placement as the team and environment gave me the confidence to become a more autonomous practitioner.

If you would like to join us for a placement or just shadow for a day or two, speak with your university placement coordinator and then drop George a line, explaining why you would like to spend time with the team on hello@marklandclinic.com.

We look forward to meeting you
