You may have heard me talk about the crazy fancy dress costumes I have been involved in making over the last few years. These have been made with friends and family for our annual trip to take part in the Portsmouth Relay for Life to support Cancer Research.
We have dressed ourselves and our tents up as Bumble Bees, Navy ships and all sorts…
This year my wonderful sister Sharon has taken on the monumental task of organising Cirencester’s 1st ever Relay For Life. It is going to be held at South Cerney Airfield on Saturday, July 29.
We hoping the event will raise more than £100,000 for Cancer Research UK.
The reason we are doing this is, that like many others, we lost a very dear family member, to cancer. In 2014 we lost my wonderful young nephew Ashley Scrivens to melanoma. Ashley was just 24.
The relay, will see teams (including me) of eight to 15 members running or walking non-stop for 24 hours around a 400-metre track. Yes…! You did read that right, non-stop for 24hrs!
To support our fundraising at The Markland Clinic we are going to be holding a MASSAGEATHON Monday 8th May.
How can you help?
Well, how do you fancy indulging yourself….?
Treat yourself a 15minute massage and make a donation to Cancer Research UK.
I am expecting these places will go really fast, if you would like me to book you in just give me a buzz or hit reply to this email.
Thank you ever so much for supporting me, my family and this wonderful charity
Have a great day, kindest regards
PS: See if you can spot me in the pic 🙂 I will find you a prize, if you can find me!!
